I could not find anything on this power plant that would make it seem illegal to fly there. I’m most confused about how the faa determines what is and Ian critical infrastructure.

Strange, isn't it, that we can fly drones over most of our dams, power plants, chemical factories and such, even nuclear power plants, at least as far as the FAA (and the federal government) is concerned.

Just because it is critical infrastructure doesn't mean overflying is restricted. So, just check B4UFly for current information. National security also comes into play, but not need to understand the reasoning, just check B4UFly.
