Am also a relatively new pilot here in the Lake Tapps area east of Tacoma in Washington State. Have used a Y6 3D robots that I put together as a kit. Looking forward to the longer flight time and reliability of the Mavic. Just got mine in the mail yesterday! It makes beautiful pictures, no problems with it all so far.
