On behalf of a friend about to buy a Mini2 and visiting family in Switzerland, are there any current (2022) rules he should know about?
He intends to take mainly landscape shots.

Thanks.

Switzerland has not implemented the EU rules yet. So currently for the Mini2 there is no registration or license required. But stay away from:
  • Prisons
  • Crowds
  • Military infrastructure
  • National parks
  • Wildlife areas
  • Nature reserves
  • Maintain VLOS
Local or regional restrictions may apply. Keep your eyes open for no-drone-signs
Fly in a responsible matter. People are very sensitive concerning drones. Best advise ist to fly your drone where no one is in your vicinity.

MarkusAtHome, you reference the airspace restrictions map in this thread. Zermatt and Lauterbrunnen have circles indicating restrictions within 5km of airports. Is there a map showing airports in those two areas?
Thanks!

Currently the restrictions do not apply to drones below 500g.

Zermatt and Lauterbrunnen have helipots (Air-Zermatt and Air-Glaciers). I have marked the heliports (H) in the attached graphs.

Be aware that in Zermatt and Lauterbrunnen there is heavy helicopter traffic 24/7. That said, Zermatt also has an abundance of paragliders and Lauterbrunnen is the Mecca for Wingsuit flyers. So be very, very cautious!
