This isnt exactly what you’re talking about, but it shows that the Mavic is capable of recovering from a fall. Probably not off a building, unless it’s a freakishly tall building.

I flew my mavic 2 zoom into tall tree.( brandy and drones don't mix) it started to fall down upside down. Then all of a sudden it leveled itself and continued hovering.
really awsome drone.
