I thought it was interesting the article didn't mention package delivery as an area for significant growth...

• Powerline inspections
• Oil and gas line inspections
• Railway inspections
• Agriculture
• Security & Surveillance
• Surveying & Mapping
• Forestry & Wildlife monitoring

Drones are much more eyes than they are arms and legs. I think package delivery isn't going to go beyond very small package delivery in a limited number of environments.

The article also has me thinking that pilots that are capable of do maintenance beyond just swapping propellers may have an edge when it comes to getting piloting jobs.
