The policeman in the interview was very positive regarding the benefits of using a drone, even stating that it had advantages over a helicopter in a situation like this. A few more stories like this might not change people's perception of drones, but they certainly won't do any harm.

The cop explained that the drone was able to hover up and down a few feet above the man allowing searchers to follow it by sight directly to him. He said that a helicopter would be too high to be of use in this case. In other situations the helicopter would most probably be of more use, but in this particular case the drone was best. Good news that can't do us droners any harm.
