I started with the Parrot Bebop. I liked the fixed camera design and sturdiness of it quite a bit. The size of the Mavic, long range, and 4K quality got me though. :)

Were you controlling the drone in those shots, or were you using follow me mode?

I guess if you ever take a 360 you feel might be worthy of sale, you should choose to stitch it yourself. Other than the messed up copyright details, this app is awesome.

What app you're running on your phone has nothing to do with how you control the Mavic (if you're using the controller). You can guide it home while using the Hangar app.

This happened to me on my last flight also. I wonder if it might be related to the new firmware? I was flying at sunset with no obstacles around.

I am upset, hence my story. I've owned enough electronics to know that six sigma manufacturing standards went out the window long ago. All I can do now is fly it like I stole it and hope the next replacement is better.

I've checked and don't see any stickers. First thing I did when it landed was clean the sensors thinking they may be dirty. I'll have to fly again in the morning to see if it repeats the behavior. I can't remember if I had it in sport mode or not when it was failing to give the messages...

Part of it is that the police don't know the rules. When I stopped to ask a policeman about flying in a possibly restricted area, he said they hadn't had any training on drones yet so there was no current enforcement, and to avoid any other aircraft.
