Telemetry Overlay computes Slope data from the GPS coordinates even if a specific device doesn't record pitch/grade. Look for the Slope (or Slope Mini) gauge
Hi. Did DJI provide any insight or troubleshooting? I'm seeing the same issue. The drone had flown flawlessly since 2020, then last month I lost the connection on a flight, about 50-80 meters away from me. Today I tested it again and the connection drops to zero at 5 or 6 meters. If I switch to...
The recorded altitude suddenly increases right before the crash, while the real altitude is obviously not increasing in the video. This confusion causes the drone to descend rapidly to maintain its previous altitude:
I don't know what sensor caused this confusion. GPS satellite count remains...
GPS signal reflection is a thing. I'm not saying that's what happened here, and DJI drones should normally be able to mistrust a sudden change in coordinates. But if a surface reflects the signal, the position calculations will be wrong, while the recorded number of satellites, dilution of...
I synced the video with the data in case that helps with the analysis. The logs report a collision and then a motor/ESC failure, but I'm not sure what could be causing that.
Hi. I'm the developer of Telemetry Overlay, which you might have encountered on YouTube while searching about this topic.
The workflow I recommend is explained in this tutorial. You can use both the video subtitles and the AirData CSV files, which will sync automatically to the video if the...
I don't think the left stick is involved here. See the data synced with the video:
The recorded altitude suddenly increases before the crash, while the drone is not actually gaining altitude. I think the drone tried to compensate for the altitude change it (incorrectly) perceived by lowering...
I synced the video with the data in case that helps with the analysis:
I can't spot anything especially revealing, other than the pitch and roll changes maybe suggesting a front left prop malfunction. The satellites and GPS level drop soon after, but that would be a side effect.
