    Or, as a Part 107 pilot, you can apply for a daylight waiver. I just received mine, and it's valid until 2024. It took a bit of creative writing and about 30 days.

    Just fly straight up. Birds have to circle to go higher and will usually disengage. (At least that's what they do here!)

    Birds and the Mavic Pro

    Welcome! I live and fly near the water a lot, so Gulls are always an issue and are very curious. When the get too close and I need to exit quick, I just fly straight up, as birds need to circle to gain elevation.
