"Fancy features" like vastly improved sensors and multiple telephoto cameras on the same rig, in a very compact, portable setup, that is less than half the size of a Phantom, and fully deployable in less than 30 seconds?
The biggest difference I notice overall is a heli is much easier to keep track of where the front and rear of the aircraft are during flight, quads mostly look the same from any of the 4 sides and it's easier to lose track of which way is which...

I did not know Dji released a heli. And ya I agree the Helis just LOOK way cooler than a quad. I love all 3 of my quads all for different reasons. The NEO is just a blast to fly. And now so is the new Heli!
Acttually DJI's first product was a heli controller that did all of this, back in 2010 (Ace One) before any multicopter stuff. Also released a Naza-H and Wookong-H a couple years later.
