    Trouble with stream

hmm so you think it's the phone? pixel was pretty good last year, crazy to think it's not fast enough already. I'll see if that helps, thanks. Also how do I roll back to older go 4 versions? :) Thanks again

    Trouble with stream

The feed from mavic to phone has gotten extremely inconsistent over time, it's starting to cut out/lock, but the drone footage itself looks perfectly fine. When I first bought the mavic, the stream was fine, using a Pixel, it's been more of a slow deterioration rather than a catastrophic...

    Asteroid mode for Mavic Pro

    1. yes, the software moves the drone, but "dronie" is upward and backwards movement without any sort of rear sensors. Meaning if you take a "dronie" while the back of the drone is facing a building, you're crashing, which makes it the pilots job to make sure nothing is in the way. Backwards...

    Asteroid mode for Mavic Pro

    1. not exactly sure why it uses rear cameras? it's very similar to dronie+rocket mode, and in both it is up to the pilot to make sure they're not flying into an object. 2. why would it require a better processor? That trajectory doesn't seem any more processor heavy than existing modes, and at...

Yay or nay? mavic in Vietnam

so, update, I went, didn't bring the drone aaaaand... walked off my international flight and out the door, they didn't even scan my bags. (flew into Hanoi) Never scanned exiting an airport in Vietnam, so I guess I would have been ok if I'd brought it. That said I was in big cities most of the...

Yay or nay? mavic in Vietnam

Absolutely true, I don't expect to fly it everywhere, I consider myself a responsible operator. I don't fly near cities, over people, or even near people in nature because it's not my intention to disturb other people's enjoyment of the outdoors. I'd rather a concrete ban over what I've...

Yay or nay? mavic in Vietnam

When you first arrive at a country, you're given a form by customs asking any number of questions. Can you lie? Sure! I imagine lying and getting caught for it is probably worse than actual truthful disclosure. You can claim anything you want anywhere, I suppose at some point you may be held...

Yay or nay? mavic in Vietnam

thanks for the response pixl, it's so frustrating to hear it's illegal without a permit, makes me paranoid. if they're going to say that, you'd think they'd have some sort of way to actually obtain said permit

Yay or nay? mavic in Vietnam

Greetings fellow mavic pilots, it's coming down to decision time and I'm hoping for the opinions of my fellow mavic pilots. I'm scheduled to fly from Singapore to Hanoi, and after that I have a few domestic flights within Vietnam. Do you think I'll be alright bringing my mavic? I know Vietnam...
