Betaflight Failsafe works, but no where near as well at DJI. This is as close to loosing a drone 3000' up a mountain as I have had yet. The drone continued forward after disconnecting and came within several feet of hitting the mountain.
I can sort of see why that functionality is there - probably a vestigial function left over from back when DJI had to hold people accountable for their flyings. I imagine I would quite enjoy that little restriction if my UAV was ever stolen ...
Of course we can get it flat if we have to, but I think it looks much better like it is now. The '3Dness' of it makes for a much more dramatic and interesting shot.
But if flat is what we want then our camera needs to fly a waypoint mission over...
