Nice to know the Mini had you covered in most of the ***-saving departments. Now if only they would let us have those helpful nav lights flashing while camera was recording we'd be able to see it against the treeline as well !
Well I am talking primarily about the UK, so it's the CAA I'm referring to.
Oh I would be embarrassed to even try - I don't have any facts to report ! Only (if I am lucky) the flight number, and reported altitude, and the aircraft type. All other data is either not available to me, not visible...
I have wanted to report literally hundreds over the years ! Their continued habitual abuse of the 500 ft rule in skies near me seems to me to be entirely unsupervised and unchecked - like the FAA and CAA know it's going on but couldn't care less, and are uninterested in the concerns of UAV...
Yes of course if there is full signal / VTX loss the UAV can't report to the controller that it is 'in progress' waiting to see if a signal is re-gained, so we are left hanging in the 'gap of uncertainty' while we trust our tech and wait until the signal recovers such that the drone can tell us...
Yeah, came back here to say what Gadget Guy pointed out. You shouldn't have had to have triggered RTH yourself, and possibly couldn't have done anyway. And when doing RTH on signal loss, there is a notable pause while the drone waits to see if signal is going to be re-established before it...
Yeah that's not good. Solid red is either battery error or charger problem. Probably caused by battery not meeting minimum charge voltage, which would be the case if it was truly dead. The only way to revive such batteries is to try and force them back up to minimum voltage by non-balance...
Hell no to sneaking it in ! You don't want those guys suspicious of what is going on in your trousers !
Did we learn nothing from Derek Smalls in Spinal Tap ?!
I would instead try and legitimately bring in a cheap action cam and a long selfie stick !
No, but pilots found to have been flying lower than the proscribed altitudes, especially those that do it over parkland and areas where public congregate or where drones are known to fly should have their licenses suspended or removed and they should face the same massive personal fines we as...
It'll mainly come down to the LIDAR that the M5P will have, which means it can do OA at night, and the camera sensor, which is full frame 1 inch, and therefore substantially better in low light. I bet it'll have onboard memory too, so that'll be a consideration. And it should have the next gen...
Sunday seemed like a good hazy evening, and nice diffuse sunset for a relaxing spin along Butser's high ridge and around the summit.
And a very nice flight it was too ! Immaculate behaviour from that little Mini4P !
Not a video high point for me. Had an ND16 filter on we didn't need, which...
We probably need more words than that, and ideally some pics of the tear-down so we can try and see where the damage is. When you say 'no signal' do you mean no control signal, or no VTX, or both ?!
