Russian guy loses mini 4 pro

A lot of the DJI boards are conformal coated to a large extent, so it is always possible that it hasn't got to a lot of vulnerable circuitry. And whilst any corrosion that has occurred cannot be fixed by rinsing, it can be halted from doing it further if the damage is not yet interrupting vital...

Yes, it's not often mentioned that adding a new gimbal requires a factory-level calibration that only DJI and a few 3rd party developers can arrange and deploy.

    GPS interference risks

Yes, one of the few losses of DJI slowly moving everyone from Phantoms to Mavic-based kit was that we lost the ability to manually force Atti Mode along the way. As it is we have to wait for GPS problem to occur, and then persist occurring until the system notices and disables it for us. I found...

What's the absolute worst drone you've ever flown?😖

I'm not on YuneecPilots anymore, but when I was even the H520s had a long list of weird stuff they did ! And it was very hard to have any faith in a company that constantly looked as if it was on the very brink of death or bankruptcy !

What's the absolute worst drone you've ever flown?😖

For me it was my Yuneec Hexacopter, the original Typhoon H. Despite being one of the nicest control surfaces to work with, and the machine itself being astonishingly stable in high wind, and its 'Yuneec' 360 degree gimbal (as yet unmatched by anyone including DJI, whose gimbals can't quite...

    A FRIEND FEARFUL TO FLY

Could be that his eyesight isn't that hot, and he likes to fly while keeping the UAV in view. Or that he may find it very hard to judge relative distance AT distance if you see what I mean ? Or he might not have it logged in and is getting restricted to those sort of short-range boundaries ? Or...

When I'm flying keeps returning to fly startup page

I can't see how reinstalling the app would make the slightest bit of difference, so I wouldn't bother with that ! ;)

RC2 covers vs. internal antennas signal obstruction

Internal aerials ? I thought the RC2 only had the 2 external ones ? If it does have any internal ones I have been using them with my sunshade from the start and have never noticed any lack of performance. Actual sunshade component largely a waste of time for that purpose - makes very little...

    Antigravity A1 sub forum please

It might make sense to merge all the DJI-related ones into this one (presuming this one has most users) and perhaps ultimately merge with the other pilots forums too, as their numbers inevitably diminish ? There aren't going to be many in the way of the Autel guys for much longer I wouldn't have...

When I'm flying keeps returning to fly startup page

The reason for that is almost always because a thumb is inadvertently touching the tiny back arrow top left of the screen as it reaches across to the left stick. Minor holding technique adjustment required to avoid that, but once you get in the habit of raising that thumb off the screen problem...

    Antigravity A1 sub forum please

Certainly deserves its own thread here, but as there are already different 'pilot' sites for DJI Inspire and Phantom lines (not sure why the latter is still going now that line is officially dead !) you'd think a whole new brand by a whole new manufacturer that is bound to produce additional...

Russian guy loses mini 4 pro

I saw a video the other day, purportedly aimed at noobs, that recommended doing all initial training flights out over open sea 'because there were less obstacles' ! Needless to say, I did not concur !

Things falling into salt water make repairs a much bigger event, but they usually turn out to be possible if people are willing to go to the rather huge effort involved in completely disassembling one, even down to the motor level (to get sand out of the coils etc) and thoroughly rinsing and...

The Long and Winding road to USA recovery...

I wonder how many of their parts are of Chinese origin ?! :)

The Long and Winding road to USA recovery...

It goes to show just how many problems there are to solve to get anywhere near DJI's level and quality... and now they are having to do it with bastardised parts not designed primarily (or at all !) for flight.
