Not the case. Sub 250g in many countries, including all of EASA means you can fly in popular areas where overthat is banned. UK the same. In other countries over 250g needs registration and in lots of those, that isnt available to foreigners... -

AAerophile replied to the thread Major update to drone regulations.Thanks. I jumped through the hoops today, took the online test, paid my fee, and got the Operator ID and Flyer ID. Now just need to label the drone with the number and start packing. Hopefully nothing will change before I get through there. Cheers.
