@galbb: I suppose your fcc enabling will not work anymore on Mini2 with latest firmware 1.04.00? (Possibly this is one reason for the new firmware). Did you ore somebody else try it?
Whats about DJI Fly app? Any problems with newest DJI Fly 1.6.x Apps?
It worked only once? If no change in firmware and application that's strange, because a program works always in the same way unless there is a hardware or software change.
I have a Mini 2 and it works alt the time again.
So far I know will the hack not work anymore after power off drone and RC. You have not to install but to start the FCC Application after power on again. Why not try to power off and on and check if the FCC mode is still active and let us know the result.
You need to power on drone and RC for the hack and remain power on after the hack.
According your description you switch on power on MA2 after the hack, what means you did the hack without power on MA2.
Not before every flight, after power on everything, maybe you fly twice or three times before power off.
If you prefer a permanent solution you must buy one, but so far I know works the Drone-Hacks solution with the Companion app in the same way.
Most probably there are many ways to unlock fcc mode, even it looks similar the Drone Hacks Companion app.
So far I remember cost the Companion app at the beginning 24 € and now 40 €, and Drone-Tweaks you have to pay every year again. This open the market for free or cheap solutions like...
I found yesterday a free app switching Mini 2 into fcc mode:
It works fine on my Mini2, but you have to repeat the procedure after switching on Drone and RC
