The furthest I got was about 700m over the Singapore Strait. In Marina Bay, 300m is all you're going to get... way too much interference.

Flight time will improve if only because you'll get airborne sooner as you get more comfortable... there aren't many reasons to fidget around with settings other than switching modes once you have a setup you're happy with. My first few flights were filled with "wonder how fast it goes"...

In Central Singapore, you might get 300m with the Air if you're lucky before you start getting video drops. Granted stayed on 2.4, and in retrospect I should have tried 5.8. This was launching from the WW2 memorial park. Out by Marina Barrage, I was able to get a lot more range... almost 1000m.

I've often been by tempted by drones, but the cost vs the limited opportunities to fly (I live in NYC) made it more of a passing fantasy... it was just a lot of money for something that was tough to travel with and would get limited opportunities to get off the ground. Doing the math is a scary...

Heh that's my only big decision right now... do I go FPVLR or 4Hawks SR. FPVLR seems optimized for max range with a more directional focus, and the 4Hawks seems like it casts a slightly wider net at the expense of max range. First world problems.

I'll probably get mine converted for the 4Hawks Raptor SR after I get back from my trip. Love the idea of the boosted Titan rigs, but probably overkill for the 15-18 min expected max flight times. I could do without the weight as well.
