DJI has said it is a hardware issue and has asked members on their forums to send back the done for repair.
There is also a video on YouTube with a guy walking through the replacement of the camera ribbon cable with a new one, fixing his camera reset issue. There is another video where air is...
Pictures?
I wouldn't risk glueing it. If it detaches whilst flying the drone would drop like a stone from the sky. You can try DJI warranty to see if they will replace it for you...
A lot of people used to say it only happened after they upgraded to 550, then it was 600 all the way up to 900 firmware. This issue is not new. The threads discussing the problem date from at least February.
DJI has responded to the issue on their forums and are asking people to send their...
Never had it on my own Mavic (March 2017) but saw it elsewhere.
DJI is aware of the issue and asking users to send their Mavic back for repair if they have the issue in this thread.
The problem at heart is hardware, and is most likely a faulty ribbon cable that may occasionally lose contact...
Try downgrading but I doubt it solves anything. The core of the issue is a faulty ribbon cable, which sometimes loses contact and causes the reset. Because the cable is not completely dead, it is very unpredictable when it is going to do it. Usually mid-flight under stress is more likely, but as...
I guess the battery already had a newer firmware on it. First time I was asked to update a battery was for a replacement from DJI. Maybe it was slightly older than the ones that came with the Mavic.
Got the same issue, only mine is permanent. Check the battery stats in Go4. If one of the cells shows a different voltage by more than 0.1v then the battery is going bad. When the difference is higher, it will trigger the error. Note that if you get the error before you take off it will...
I upgraded my Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T810 to Android Nougat a couple if days ago. Was afraid about DJI Go4 crashing, but I was surprised it worked really smoothly. So not all Nougat variants are doomed.
Did you actually see the gimbal on the bird resetting? I'm trying to understand whether it could be a signal drop or loss issue vs the gimbal resetting...
@Logger A gimbal resetting and recalibrating with the whole dance is a wholly different thing from video splitting. The motors and gimbal controller are very distinct from the camera and settings you are mentioning. That's why you have two different cables etc.
Anyway, as you say, who knows if...
That may be circumstantial. As @HSK said in his case it didn't make a difference.
The problem is that the cable is not broken but does not make good contact. That means the issue may appear due a number of factors, like air pressure, heat or vibrations.
I would also expect that if this was...
I think it has been well documented that the weakest link in the gimbal is the ribbon cable. I've said it before and I'll say it again the firmware cannot be the cause. It may alter the behaviour once it regains signal, but that's really something that should not be happening in any case.
Save...
The ribbon cable issue will be very random and so it is easy to conclude that it is a firmware issue just because it was observed after upgrading. Also the firmware would have caused it to happen on every Mavic that uses the same version.
Anyway, if you feel using older firmware fixes it then...
