Thank you for posting this. I read the link and some FAQs but I'm still not able to determine if my drone will be built-in RID compatible.
As I have a DJI FPV (not the avata), I'm not sure if DJI considers that to be a "modern" drone or not. If anyone has info, that'd be appreciated.
With the experience that you have, do you take any special precaution flying low over water versus flying low over land?
In other words, what should someone do to make sure the water doesn't confuse the drone's downard sensor (if that's something you have even seen happen)?

I also appreciate the comments about the 180 degree gimbal and the battery cost.
Regardless, it sounds like the OcuSync feature alone is worth dealing with...
Since it's nearly impossible for people to legally fly Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS), does the OcuSync range provide any additional benefit over Wifi?
