Just have a 3ft clear landing area. I launch from my boat all the time, with waves and wind. Just be prepared to grab it out of the air if its too rough.

The longer angled tips make it low noise. Color doesn't matter.

I love my platinum. Best drone I've flown. When I have to replace it, I'll buy another.

Never flipped one, but defintely seen my mavic fly the opposite direction intended going all out. if you get into that situation remember to strafe to the side, it should help you get out of the main gust of wind and with a little luck get the mavic back safely before the battery runs out.

sports mode is a lot of fun, and has really saved my tail when I hit some unseen wind. can be nerve wrecking, but keep an eye on your altitude and you shouldnt worry about obstacles.

I've filmed at a wedding before. If you do it, as others noted, fly far away from guests. Not only for safety but you do not want to distract from the Bride/groom on their big day. If the wedding is not in an open area, just politely decline entirely.

Take the SD card out. Otherwise the majority of the data is stored on the app not the hardware.

I don't mind flying over water since I carry insurance on the drone, but be very aware of the wind conditions. You don't want to be fighting the wind to try and return to land.

+1 on the rubber bands. If you've been into the gimbal you might want to make sure the retaining screws are also fully seated. You can also purchase a new vibration board / rubber band online if you're is worn out.
