REMEMBER You must be able to have VISUAL contact with your drone. you must also be able to know the Drones orientation with the unaided eye... At 1 mile thats not possible. Sure your drone will fly 3 to 4 miles out ....BUT not legally. -

Stay on topic folks Stay focused on the "military bases" And in my personal opinion, if someone is dumb enough to fly over a military base even if it's just to get pics or video, and their drone is shot down, I would not shed a tear.
