Yeah, the manual focus seems to shift a bit, but barely anything. Sucks that yours didn't get resolved with a restart though. Did you allow the Mavic to adjust to the temperature change before flight? I know people have had gimbal issues when it hasn't had any time to adapt.
Mine wasn't the filter's fault. Worked great initially with the filter and the second flight was fine with the filter as well. Sorry if that wasn't clear in my original post.
Well this was happening at around 70F outside so it wasn't the cold. Hopefully you get it back soon
Took my Mavic out the other day and everything was going great, but at about 12 min into the flight my Mavic would not focus. I was using standard auto focus (not continuous). No matter what I tried I could not get the Mavic to focus properly, but the Go4 app would say it was focused even though...
Here's a quick video playing around with my 4Runner and Active Track. It was the first time I had used the feature. Worked pretty well especially when there was enough light. Here it is if you're interested in checking it out:
I'm still editing with FCP X on my 2011 iMac. I've done a few 4K projects and it handles them well while editing (rendering does take its time though). External drives work well for me since the 500GB internal drive is too small by today's standards.
Very nice video! The editing a music work well together. Was the white balance set before flight? The green trees look a little weird to me for some reason, but it could be my monitor. Great job!
I did maintain VLOS while flying in Iceland. For that waterfall it was actually pretty easy to do as the top of the waterfall was easily accessible by a short walk. You can see in that shot that I did have some overspray hit the UV filter. The mist started getting the camera from quite a long...
My update seemed to go thru just fine. Hung up on 83% for awhile like others have said. I get no errors, but when I go to the About menu my AC firmware is 01.03.0400 and my RC is unknown firmware. Anyone else seeing this issue?
You're welcome! The temperatures we had then were right around 30F-40F. The wind is the concerning part for your Mavic. Not sure if you saw the high waterfall being blown sideways in the video, but my Phantom 3 had troubles in that wind. So much trouble in fact that I got about 50ft away and...
That sounds like a nice machine! I'd definitely get at least 16GB of RAM. I'm running 12GB and it works well for my needs (Final Cut Pro and Adobe Lightroom), but I think 8GB would be too little. 1TB fusion drive will be nice and fast if somewhat small by today's standards, but you always have...
Awesome! You're going to have a great trip! I was just there back in November. The temperatures I experienced were about the same as what you are expecting.
- Prop icing wasn't an issue, but I wasn't flying in waterfall mist in sub-freezing temperatures either. It was slightly warmer when I...
Nice! Is your iMac a 2010 model? The reason I ask is mine is a 2011 21" iMac and I successfully edited my Mavic's 4K video using Final Cut Pro X on it :). It worked great! Actually it was just as fast as working with 1080p. The only time it slowed down a lot was when it came time to finalize...
