Who makes the chips for DJI Drones?

Would you seriously considered a device that carries a label ‘made in the USA’. People here in Australia have learned to stay away from expensive, but low quality stuff. The drone market, solar panels and from next year electric vehicles will be Chinese only. Tesla will in 2023 be superseded by...

Glad i live in the democratic country of Australia. Sad for you guys. End of drones for US residents then.

Who makes the chips for DJI Drones?

LOL, as if they could. And then you would have to buy 5000 $ for a standard crappy drone, made in USA. We keep flying here DJI very happily thank you. No ’made in USA’ in my household.

3 Watch someone breaking the law. Read video comment

Have you looked in your countries software where you can fly drones and where not ? I am thinking of Airmap and open Sky on your Iphone. That area may have been restricted for other reasons than just the dam, e,g, military or nature reserve. I never fly here in Australia if they area is not...

    Pilot error or crappy drone?

You learned many things with this loss the hard way. I am sorry for That. There were too many pilot errors here. Still puzzled by the flying time changes. That must have been when it felt headwind and reduced speed. Why did you not fly in a straight line to land once in trouble instead of RTH ?

Why did my Air 2 S decide not to come home to Papa?

It may have a distance of 11 km but you have to be able to maintain eye contact all the time. In this case I doubt whether you maintained eye contact all the time and those who brag they flew 10 km away surely won’t. You were quite lucky that you did not bring down a real aircraft.

Mavic Air 2 falling from the sky

Have you noticed swelling of the battery recently ? Sounds to meclike powerless, potentially by an older battery that swells and contact points disconnect.

Mavic 2 lands in the Water : Rescue Jacket saves the Drone.

Not sure what was going on here. Drone just randomly flying around and were the turning points gimbal position changes or turns/yaw of the drone ? Why not just fly it manually and land it wherever you want it on the boat or get it close to you and grab it with your hand ?

    Worrying about DJI Drones

The realtionship between China and the US is a tit for tat. We become the victims. The US pesters Huawei and keeps their CFO in Canada 2 years under house arrest and buys no governmental DJI drones. They retaliate by imposing restrictions. A kindergarten. I live in Australia that for some reason...

Flying to islands 2-3 km from beach

Thanks Drbobk, that is a very good one. I have read about somebody who tested his drone over a busy beach (would not be allowed here), he was very happy about the 7 km when the drone signalled RTH, but then it crashed into bathing people on the beach as it did not have the force to fly back...

Flying to islands 2-3 km from beach

Hi al, So happy to be member of this great forum. I live in Western Australlia, and we have some great, uninhabited islands on our rugged coastline. Where I live there are 3 islands that are 2-3 km from the beach. I am so tempted to fly from the beach, where I will always have a direct...

Mavic Pro 3 Confirmed by DJI

Never had any issue with swelling of the batteries of my DJI 2 Air. Do also not know anybody else in my drone club with this problem. It may be that in the US the batteries try to look like their owners.
