I've been using 128GB and 256GB Evo Plus cards with much success. I don't see why the non plus versions wouldn't work (for me the marginal cost of the plus version was minimal).

Interestingly enough, the URL for the Play Store app calls it DJI Go 5 play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dji.go.v5. Definitely indicates that this app is intended for other models.
