Hey from Houston (Meyerland area), buying 1st drone

Welcome from Houston(Katy). Can't help you on the 107. I did my version of the 107 in a day w/test. Took me 5 days to schedule with a DPE for the sign off. I'm still looking for a good place to fly around here. Harris county and Houston has an ordinance against flying drones in parks...

    RTK / PPK Question

Thanks for the info. Confirms what I already thought I knew. The Emlid equip is almost as much as the M3E RTK.

    RTK / PPK Question

I’m currently flying an M4P and am looking to dip my toe into photogrammetry and volumetrics. I’m not aware of any aftermarket RTK add-ons for the M4P. Is there a budget-friendly solution for high-accuracy capture using NTRIP or PPK? RTK models are quite a significant investment.

100%. I mainly fly a Mini 4 Pro but looking to add RTK or upgrade. The jump in price to an Enterprise model or another RTK model is so steep, I'm having a hard time justifying it. Considering starting with NTRIP and PPK to test the waters.

Thank you. I love WI! We go to Airventure every year since about 2011. Usually fly in to Oshkosh but we landed in Fond Du Lac this year.

Thanks for the info. I'm on it. The photo was taken by a friend from an A36. The big bird lands at 75kts and stops flying around 55kts. Short list of drones that could keep up.

Hello everyone, and thank you for welcoming me into this group! My family and I currently live on the west side of Houston, Texas, though most of our relatives are back in central Texas. I’m an instrument-rated private pilot and the proud owner of a Beechcraft Bonanza BE35 V-tail. Just last...
