That's the update I've installed on mine, I think it introduced that improved offline maps feature unless I simply didn't notice before.

Appears their recent DJI Pilot 2 update has improved the offline maps significantly - you can drag a box and download larger areas now. Far more useful!

The FCC mod was for the RC Pro controller, that's how it worked, not applied to the drone.

I have a lanyard clip thing on my RC for my mini 3 pro, sadly different spacing on the RC2 so doesn't fit, wider space between the screw threads on the RC2. Yeah common for screen covering things to attach for both.

Make sure you set the camera to shutter priority mode, set something like 1/1000th or higher and fixed white balance (now you can on the drone), also best not to fly at the top speed of 15m/s when mapping.

The offline maps on the DJI controllers are awful, only tiny areas can be downloaded at a time. Maybe consider using a wifi hotspot on your phone or getting their 4G/LTE dongle and sim card to use mobile data from the device to get the maps at the time. This has been raised many times but still...

Note you can buy low noise props for the M3E now from DJI, in fact if you want it C2 rated and go through their process (similar to that for the mavic 3 to restrospectively get C1 rated) you must fit those to fly with. Apparently slightly less flight time with them.

The cameras are still a bit meh, the main sensor is not really 50 megapixels, and noticed DJI quoting "effective pixels" now which is rather misleading. Other features look very decent though, the LIDAR and RTH quite amazing, plus it can fly fast. Don't think worth an upgrade if you already...

Sorry no idea if that would work anyway, would depend on how the DJI Fly app chooses it's mapping source - would suspect it's connecting directly to an API. Would be interested to know if someone has managed to "fix" this though.
