Because, especially on this Mavic forum with lots of newb owners and people that never really flew RC, a great number are irresponsible fliers themselves.

More power is going to give better penetration, but there's limits. You aren't going to penetrate multiple houses, hills, large buildings, tree trunks, concrete, etc. no matter what.

You can't improve penetration on bands with known-bad penetration. That's why cell, radio, TV, etc. don't use 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz. Also, inb4 "I lost my Mavic" thread.

Fly with your device in airplane mode. Problem solved.

Started with an Airhogs single rotor heli that only had throttle and yaw control, which was really weird and nearly impossible to fly. Moved to a Blade SR, which involved training gear, lots of crashing, and lots of rebuilding. Once I got the hang of that, everything else was a piece of cake.

What firmware are you on? As of the latest firmware, you no longer have the option to turn GEO off. As such, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't show it at all. Someone else will have to confirm that, as I haven't upgraded yet. And for the record, I still haven't resolved this issue either.

Absolutely nothing because, again, they've made their intentions very clear. They want people using the new GEO system, period. You will now be forced to use it... and there's nothing wrong with it because anyone with a P4 and newer craft has been using it all along, likely without even knowing it.

No inside track here. I just happen to be capable of reading what they've written that very clearly stated their intentions.

Have you looked it up on DJI's web based GEO and NFZ maps? Is it a red zone on the GEO map?
