Regardless, my Mavic arrived with a scuffed gimbal cover. Asked for them to send me another one but they also told me I had to send the whole thing back. Ridiculous.

I'm off to SA as well on 24th. Got my Mavic through Maplins although still have an Amazon order on from 27th Oct.
Be aware that there are very specific drone rules for SA! Was doing abunch of research onit yeaterday and it might restrict where you're able to fly (not in any national parks...

When I looked at insurance, it looked like most home insurance doesn't cover drones at all. Often specifically excludes. If it comes to damaging the item, I bought the DJI cover (couldn't easily find insurance that would cover it... even gadget insurance...
So... just been on Chat Support with an Amazon rep who just gave me the following information (when I questioned about my 27th October Fly Less order)...
He said they are getting stock in on 8th and 10th January (not sure for fly more / fly less) and that this "should be enough to fulfil all...

Picked up the drone and its now on charge. Weather a bit dodgy here so havent risked flying it yet. Box was a bit damaged but all the parts seem OK. Gimbal cover scuffed so may seek a replacement.
The Mavic Pro Fly Less that I ordered from Maplins on Wednesday morning is out for delivery to the store today!
Just a shame it was £100 more than my Oct-27th Amazon order... but going to South Africa in a month and didn't want to risk it not arriving.
Spoke to them on the phone this morning and apparently they're out of stock on both until 28th December. Ordered a Fly More anyway. Ordered Fly Less from Amazon on 27th October... will see which arrives first and cancel the other.
No payments taken yet or emails.
Don't email them - call them or use the chat function. The email guys don't really know what they are doing. I had a long emajl thread goinf with them about warranty on an "Amazon Warehouse" deal and got 4 different responses - none answering my actual question. They let the more advanced...
