    ham radio

Ham radio and drones can be useful together. I put a small crystal controlled oscillator and a short (40 cm or so) horizontal antenna on my Mavic Air 2 and plotted the elevation pattern of one of my antennas by receiving the signal level from the antenna as I flew the drone a constant distance...

Drone collides AND grounds a firefighting Super Scooper in LA...

In a bid for leniency his lawyers claim that DJI's geofencing failed, but I'd bet that he had previously intentionally defeated it. He was within 1.5 miles of the impact and I can't imagine he would have even been able to take off if the geofencing on the drone had been intact.

    Exact Location?

Clearly you don't understand how your drone works. It's the optical landing capability that is giving you that kind of precision. Read your manual.

Drone collides AND grounds a firefighting Super Scooper in LA...

Your understanding of physics is as useless as Lazerbrain's, so I'll repeat my reply to him here for you. Impact is a function of the relative speed of the two objects involved. And damage is a function of the ability of the impacted surfaces to withstand the impact, not the entire structure...

Drone collides AND grounds a firefighting Super Scooper in LA...

LOL!! You clearly have zero understanding of physics. Impact is a function of the relative speed of the two objects involved. And damage is a function of the ability of the impacted surfaces to withstand the impact, not the entire structure. The thin skin of the airplane wing is less...

More bad news in the drone community

On general principles alone I would think that the cost of insurance for a drone show would be almost prohibitive.

    Drones "Spying" on New Jersey.

I totally agree, which is why I only frequent websites that rate generally neutral for bias and strong for accuracy. I'll occasionally check non-neutral sites just to understand what other people are seeing, but that's it. Unfortunately, FAR too many people only read what they want to see and...

    Drones "Spying" on New Jersey.

Yeah, NewsMax is pretty bad. It's one thing to have a right wing bias, which is fine if you have that slant, but NewsMax also rates low for accuracy. Here's a website that ranks media outlets for both bias (selective reporting) and reliability (falsehoods and opinion presented as fact)...

    Drones "Spying" on New Jersey.

I think New England Droning had them confused with some hack news outlet ... the names of some outlets are pretty similar. I checked with AllSides and they rate NewsNation just slightly right of dead center. https://www.allsides.com/news-source/newsnation-media-bias

That's as silly as any other conspiracy story I've heard. At least nobody has beat you yet.
