In a bid for leniency his lawyers claim that DJI's geofencing failed, but I'd bet that he had previously intentionally defeated it. He was within 1.5 miles of the impact and I can't imagine he would have even been able to take off if the geofencing on the drone had been intact.

Clearly you don't understand how your drone works. It's the optical landing capability that is giving you that kind of precision. Read your manual.

I totally agree, which is why I only frequent websites that rate generally neutral for bias and strong for accuracy. I'll occasionally check non-neutral sites just to understand what other people are seeing, but that's it. Unfortunately, FAR too many people only read what they want to see and...

Yeah, NewsMax is pretty bad. It's one thing to have a right wing bias, which is fine if you have that slant, but NewsMax also rates low for accuracy. Here's a website that ranks media outlets for both bias (selective reporting) and reliability (falsehoods and opinion presented as fact)...

I think New England Droning had them confused with some hack news outlet ... the names of some outlets are pretty similar. I checked with AllSides and they rate NewsNation just slightly right of dead center. https://www.allsides.com/news-source/newsnation-media-bias
