    Greetings from Ireland

Welcome to the forum from Antrim. I bought an air 1 last year but haven't been able to fly much with the lockdown. Hope to be out soon to get some air time.

I fly a mavic air 1 with a refurbished iPad mini5. Its brilliant however I was lucky to have got the fly more with 3 batteries as spare batteries are as rare as hens teeth. Definitely try to get the mini2 and maybe a refurbished compatible phone or iPad mini. You can get away with using the iPad...

Flight restriction zones uk and nats app ?

Home Location off by a few feet

I'm no expert but I have found that if there is any wind the home position acquired can be some distance away from the actual take off position. I use a takeoff pad so the drone records the home position relative to it but not necessarily directly above it.

Prevent gimbal overload caused by not removing the cover at power up

Watched a YouTube video showing how to cure the critical error on the gimbal but all it shows is recalibration. The led,s still show red even though the gimbal appears to work normally.

Prevent gimbal overload caused by not removing the cover at power up

As a noobie I constantly forget to remove the gimbal cover before powering up.a simple mod I have done to prevent this is to cut and hot glue a piece of plastic sheet to the cover. Now when I power up the mod reminds me to remove the cover thus preventing gimbal overload. I will probably paint...

    Hello from Northern Ireland

Yes its nerve wrecking. I stuck mine to the ceiling last night. I was flying it using my Samsung s70. I thought it might be because it was low light affecting the sensors. I'm just outside Antrim town. Hoping to find some nice places to fly .
