I always put the Gimbal cover on. Prop guard too. It's there for a reason.

I would have been afraid to take a drone up in that snow. Looks like it was a little chilly.

Because it's a digital process. Humans aren't part of the process. There's no physical cost involved.

Right now it's almost 50 degrees and the sun is shining through my front window. Haven't seen much fog and we still haven't had below freezing temps. Broke a couple high temp records though. Still can't get out and fly because I'm too close to the airport (and haven't bothered to get a waiver)

A conservative society can't thrive in a progressive world. Every other country gets the good drones and the US will be stuck with the inferior ones. Doesn't seem right.

That's how I read it also. It's hard to say, though, because the news is interpretive these days. One article I read said only existing inventory can be sold.

Yes, they strobe but not because of the house current. They "look" dimmer because of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Basically the LEDS pulse on and off, not a true strobe, with their own frequency. I don't know if his LED strips are adjustable but of they are, turning them brighter or dimmer...

AC on the lights shouldn't matter. If incandescent, they won't "strobe" because the element in the lights doesn't cool down fast enough between peaks to make a difference. LEDs often have a driver, but not always. If they have a driver then it will have it's own PWM independent of the voltage...
