Worth a shot, true, but it didn't work. I spent two hours on the phone with a DJI tech guy who concluded that the firmware will not allow us to program the right stick so that back stick produces a climb. It will do it on the left stick so I'm in the process of reprogramming my mind to think...
So far, the eventual outcome has been unsatisfactory. The on line folks had me uninstall and reinstall DJI GO4. That didn't work. At their request, I sent the RC back to the DJI repair facility in California. They found nothing wrong with it. I called tech support again to ask for advice...
Took my Goggles to the Optometrist today. He updated my prescription then recommended I go with +4.00 over my distant vision correction (which is +3) for a total of +7.00. Based on some posts from this forum, I told him the focal length was probably close to 11 inches. The resulting glasses...
When the news announced that the city of Boise, Idaho would be launching their fireworks from a location very close to my home, because the usual location was flooded, I thought this would be a great opportunity to shoot some video. I was concerned that about the legality of possibly flying...
Sounds like a number of Mavic drivers have had this issue. How did you solve it? After playing with Litchi, I started having problems with both up/down and fore/aft inversion. When I swap the values, nothing changes. Yes, I do hit save after I make a change. Am I missing something?
Speaking of custom stick modes. It seems like I'm still not clear on how to actually get into a custom stick mode. This morning, I had everything powered up in the house (without props) so I could play with DJI Go4 and Litchi. Wanted to learn more about doing intelligent flight modes. This...
So I didn't opt for DJI refresh and put my MP into a tree while trying out waypoints mode. It fell about 25' to the ground and broke a shoulder joint (yeah, I know that's not what it's really called). I sent it in to DJI Cerrito. They charged me $245 to repair and then sent me a new unit...
I'm with you. I don't care if you're in a glider, a helo, or a jet fighter. If you don't move any other control, when you pull back on the stick you'll go up, at least for a while, because you're changing the direction of your lift vector towards the vertical. I almost pranged my MP several...
Here's an update on my repair transaction. The original invoice from Cerritos included a $65 freight charge. I tried the chat function and email in an effort to get them to update the invoice because I was OK with surface shipping. No luck. I was anxious to get the repair started, so I went...
Sorry, Boise Idaho. Surface shipping both ways. The issue I had with DJI support was they wanted to charge me $65 for freight. Took way to long to get that ironed out.
I sent mine in to the Cerritos CA facility on May 30 with two broken motor struts. $245 later, it was shipped back to me today and should arrive on Thursday Jun 15.
