not sure of your source, but NO LI Batteries are permitted in checked luggage in the US, or internationally as per IATA, DOT, and FAA regs. Note the graphic table posted is also nearly 8 years old and may not accurately reflect current regs.

best airline to take a drone on?

PREP for your trip by inspecting your gear and identifying any suspect batteries (bulging, discolored, visual damage of any kind) and REPLACE them. Make sure you label/mark all your gear in case it gets mishandled. PHOTOGRAPH your packed items in the case for your records and evidence in the...

    Amazon listing for Air 3S

Adorama is a top notch supplier of pro/pro-sumer photo gear and related equipment, I have used them extensively and are a safe vendor. They offer a wide selection of quality gear, good prices, and prompt delivery (and stand behind what they sell). If the choice was between an established...

Batteries in the Refrigerator of Freezer

NOT a good idea: besides the battery not being designed to be used this way you also place stress on the plastic and metal components which are not intended to go thru freeze/thaw cycles or be subjected to very widely ranging ambient temperatures. BUY MORE BATTERIES and let the ones you used...

    Battery Saftey

YVR: Be careful- If you add up the watt capacity of all the batteries that your describing the total is not gonna be contained by the ammo can; consider segregating/separating the batteries to create smaller potential releases instead of one big combined one. One way to control a hazard is to...

    Battery Saftey

So interesting thread and a few points: LI batteries don't explode they deflagrate (has to do with the speed of the reaction and resulting release of energy - deflagration is slightly slower than an explosion but still violent); fireworks explode so the difference between release of energy and...

Mini 4 Pro A Great Snorkel Spot on the Big Island

Dude i was just THERE! Flew to Kona to investigate a fire (for two days) and had a late flight out so went to the beach there, did see people snorkeling but did not have room to pack mask and fins. Very cool and chill island, love to go back for fun someday. That park area and beach are very...

Towers can be your best friend in the sky !

One note of caution: while comm towers present readily identifiable and visible nav aids and landmarks, and will have open area around their base, they are also potential sources of high power RF that can momentarily disrupt or blind consumer grade UAV's. VERY HIGH power transmissions eveon on...
