The area I took off from was not part of the park restrictions. Also, you can actually fly in the park but need permission from BC Parks if you do plan to launch from other areas in the park. I use the Drone Pilot Canada app for this info.
What about getting a power pack? Something like this that you could take with you. At least you would get a few charges in. Not recommending this one, just using it as an example...
I use RTH most, if not all of the time. I am fully confident on flying home without it but I think everyone should be very familiar with how RTH works. It is important to know how it should be setup, how it operates during RTH and knowing how to cancel.
Hello and welcome. You don’t mention where you are from. If you are from Canada you must register your drone and obtain your RPAS Basic Drone Pilot license to fly legally. I will not speak to other countries as I’m only aware of Canadian laws.

I would like to get some video of the suspension bridge as well. Have you filmed there yet? I’ve been taking advantage of the shutdowns t get footage that...
Here is mine. I chose a yellow skin in hopes that it would improve visibility. Didn’t really help. I have reflective tape on the rear of the arms and will get the occasional flash from the sun so that helps a bit.
I’ll answer my own question on this one. I successfully flew a night mission last night with no issues at all. The strobe could been seen at 1/2 mile or more.
I actually use three apps regularly. I use Litchi for basic flying, Maven when I need quick and easy waypoint missions and Dronelink when I do mapping missions.
I have a MM and Litchi doesn’t support waypoints yet so that is why I use Maven. Dronelink is pretty complicated when it comes to...
