As an update, I heard back from DJI today and following their review of my video, and flight logs they have offered to replace my drone. I accepted. I would like to thank DJI for their support service. I will positively recommend DJI to others.
I would add, that the Remote Controller Signal Lost setting was set at Return to Home. In the event that the signal was lost, the Mavic should have come home. I also had line of sight, as it was at an altitude of 230 feet. These two factors bring me to the conclusion that this was a hardware...
Thank you! Unfortunately the location of the Mavic is a gated community. Security is aware I lost it there but I'm prevented from searching myself.
In your experience is there a possibility that's DJI will issue me a replacement drone based on the flight data?
I lost the signal for a split second and was prompted to RTH. I said yes RTH, but signal was never restored. My RTH altitude was at 50 meters which was well above the tallest trees of 20 meters.
I also tried hitting the RTH button on the controller but with no response from the aircraft.
I retrieved the video from the flight too. Unfortunately, it appears the Mavic went into the pond. Do you think DJI will acknowledge this was a hardware failure?
