There were consistently 23 satellites and no error messages. It is a compound of roughly 40,000 square feet, hard-surfaced courts surrounded by chain link fence, which had never interfered with the drone previously.

I had a similar problem. It made no logical sense, but a different cable solved it for me.

I've had the same issue with the RC for my air. Powering the RC on/off while charging sometimes helps.
