Hi Richard and welcome. I have a holiday home on Luce Bay at Port William - summer only - so I'm well familiar with the area. Be wary of restricted airspace - Port Patrick is pretty close to to boundary.

Hi Notadrop, and congrats on your new toy - enjoy. You live in a very beautiful wee bit of Scotland, and a very sparsely populated on with masses of wide open space both inland and coastal, but bear in mind the NFZs - airports/fields and military areas like West Fruegh.
