Nah, -2 means you have seriously reduced sharpness one top of DJI’s over zealous noise reduction. It’s baked in. You could try a bit of sharpening but I highly doubt it’s going to look much better. You can’t improve on it if the information isn’t there in the first place.
Let’s not confuse people new to this. Dlog is not Raw. Formats such as CinemaDNG can be classed as raw. Raw has nothing applied to the sensor data other than varying degrees of compression, sometimes lossless, sometimes lossy. True Raw generally requires faster and larger storage due to the huge...
The slight crop between the two is due to the fact that normal has a lens warp correction applied to it and DLog doesn’t.
And just to clarify for any new guys so that there isn’t confusion in the future, Dlog is not Raw. Log is just a custom curve applied to the sensor information before it is...
Shot this the other day. A bridge over a puddle of the Greenland Sea on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in West Iceland.
Love being able to just pop up and shoot. The mavic is so small and easy to take anywhere. Portrait mode is a favourite of mine!
Ah, I love the option of portrait. This is actually two sets of multiple exposures stitched together.
This was taken in Mecklenbeck, Münster, Germany. A little forest out the back of my girlfriends fathers house. We are back in the UK now, so I'll have to bottle you some air the next time we...
Threw this together from test footage I shot months ago whilst playing with sharpness settings and the Art colour profile.
Never intended anything to come of this footage as I wasn't too bothered by it, but got bored today and came across it on one of my HD's.
Pushed it quite hard. You can...
100mbps is the only thing tempting me at the minute. That should cope with high amounts of complex detail in scenes much better than the 60mbps of the Mav. However, there's a lot of other factors that could make or break it. I really do hope they've fixed their over aggressive NR and the 1080...
With experience of DJI stuff from 2012 onwards, building WKM and NAZA machines, flying phantoms and inspires and everything in between, I can say that there comes a certain point in which DJI start to introduce issues with firmware updates and "fix" things that weren't an issue, ruining them...
