After watching those two videos, it looks like the M2P has a much better camera than the S2. But the OA on the S2 is amazing!!

In the United States I believe the only advantage legally is you don’t have to register it. All other regulations apply.

I believe in the U.S under hobbyist rules the visual observer can no longer be under radio contact. The visual observer must be co-located and I’m direct communication with the pilot.

Sorry, I’m confused. I thought rec flyers were NEVER allowed to go over 400’AGL...? I know that 107 can go within 400’ of a structure. So currently, when can hobbyist fly over 400 feet?

Unfortunately, last time I tried to take off from a state park in MA the ranger told me it was against the rules. Because it’s a state park, the rules are actually the law. I believe it is 302 CMR 12.17(2). Search the term “aircraft” in this document...

I wonder what would have happened if you took the sd card out before you handed it to the cops...

All other drone laws would still apply, you just don’t have to register drones if they are under .55 pounds.
