Happy to report that the updated app is working with my LG V35.

I pre-ordered mine through Best Buy. You might check the Best Buy stores online for in the area you will be traveling too. If you can find one with a MM in stock, they will hold it for 5 days for in store pick up. I've seen DJI stuff sold at Wal-Mart and Target in the past, but I'm not sure...

I'm using an S7 Active with my MM. The app would die on my LG V35 every time the drone connected, but my old S7 Active works fine.

I think that is pretty standard for quick charging, phone and power bricks do the same. High volts low amps, but if the device isn't capable of quick charging, it should put out the normal 5 volts.

It's the app, it does the same thing on my phone. The app forces the phone screen to rotate, but only in one direction. Sounds like the 3rd party app will rotate it the other way, because it would be way to hard for DJI to add a rotate direction in settings on the app somewhere.

The way I look at it, for $400 I get something that folds up tiny, is super portable, and basically matches the specs of a P3 Advanced, that originally sold for $1k not too long ago.

If my S7 didn't work my MM would be going back as well. I still have a year left on my payment plan for my V35, and no plans to upgrade anytime soon. I did see a bunch of S7s listed on ebay for around $100. That could be an option for you, or any of the older phones/tablets known to work.
