Your opinion. You needed to be there...It appeared to solve a problem that I was having, that I have not experienced before, immediately. I am not familiar with DJI's position control algarythm, so you may be right. I only fly in airplane mode now. Just trying to possibly help someone.

My RC was connecting. My dji go4 app was not connecting. I needed the app to connect so I could see my video. The app would connect then disconnect after about 15 sec. (App). It did this for at least 30 min, until I went to airplane mode. I went to airplane mode the app connected immediately...

I agree with the RC thing, made no sense to me, unless, the app is trying to connect to a server somewhere. There may be something else going on behind the scenes..... The government has disapproved dji drones for official use, for this reason.
