    No reason why you can’t use an iPad with an RC N2 other than the cumbersome mounting. The DJI Fly app runs on my iPad mini. Yes you should be able to tether a WiFi iPad to your Android phone, but a WiFi only iPad won’t have any gps capabilities...

    Using a drone or not is entirely your choice, but as already pointed out: no GPS (or very sporadic locks) means your flight stability is compromised... which includes the hover height if the VPS sensors can't clearly identify the floor surface...

    Make sure you have a really distinctively patterned floor so that the downward position sensors have something to recognise where they are. Talk about making a job more difficult than it needs to be. Even an IPhone on a stand would be less...
