Getting an Avata 2? Spend even MORE money!!

lol - I hate you guys that make it sound so easy. I've tried different styles like pinching, watched Joshua Bardwell - a lot. Bought the sims and played them a lot. Take my Tinyhawk or Mobula 7 out in the front yard and inevitably end up schlepping down the block to retrieve it.

Getting an Avata 2? Spend even MORE money!!

I discovered I utterly suck at FPV. I suck in Liftoff and DRL. Oh - I can fly but I get outside the boundaries far too easy. I also can't hit the rings for squat. The thing I like about the Avatas that would mitigate FPV is it can operate as a hybrid. Meaning that it can have the "normal" DJI...

    Apple AirTag Mavic Air Mount

Just make sure that any device like this uses 5G as a lot of them used 3G which is phased out. This model does use 5G which is great and a very good price.

Ken Heron claims RID is cancelled - For Now...

HOAs are known to be a PITA for anything they think they can harass people for. So I call that one just "life in 'murica".

Has anyone ever flown a drone, above the trees, over the USA road known as the Tail of the Dragon?

That's the "tree of shame" and it's actually at Deals Gap which is the "beginning". They used to have surprisingly good bratwurst there. I ride and did the dragon twice and that was enough to make me swear off. It's vastly overrated as far as technical challenge. A much better road is the...

Ken Heron claims RID is cancelled - For Now...

lol - nefarious intent? Since when do we worry about nebulous maybes? Take using drones to mule drugs into penal institutions. It's already against the law and the criminals will have ready access to anyone who figures how to bypass RID or simply build their own from scratch. Laws do not deter...

Mavic 2 Zoom even be able to takeoff after September 16 ??

Pure conjecture beloved by drone cops everywhere as a pseudo-fact.

Air 1 Iconic skyscrapers in Austin, Texas

No, although they do have one. Fun fact there are several locations in Austin with gargoyles. The Paramount has some in the tiles. The hotel I refer to is around the corner. "The most traditional use of gargoyles in downtown is the 28 little men with pointed ears and wings crouched on the...

Air 1 Iconic skyscrapers in Austin, Texas

Nah - not so many drone cops in Austin. There ARE a couple but they pretty much stick to their drone group that meets every first Saturday of the month. You wanna vid something fun lookup Austin hotel with gargoyles. They're kinda cute. The lobby is way retro.

Australian Govco now banning DJI drones

We already know that the drones communicate with DJI. That's a fact. The CCP mandates all Chinese companies maintain allegiance to the CCP and their "requests" are mandatory. If you think the CCP isn't asking DJI to share data... well, I can't think of polite words to describe. As far as...

Australian Govco now banning DJI drones

oh my, sorry bud but that thinking is totally a head-in-the-sand approach. Just because you like DJI drones doesn't mean the CCP gets a pass. The spy game as you put it is absolutely not imaginary. The Chinese have stolen so much tech and trade secrets it's astonishing that we haven't totally...

    Flying in Czechoslovakia?

You can safely assume since I am certified and licensed to fly in the EU that I mean the Mini 3 Pro when I say allowed over people (limited). Yes I know they are now Czech Republic, no need to be pedantic. I knew them as Czechoslovakia when I was in Germany and the tanks rolled in - not a big...

    Flying in Czechoslovakia?

Given that they do not use the Euro I doubt they are in the EU. If they are in the EU I know what to expect since I'm licensed to fly.

    Flying in Czechoslovakia?

Not sure what you mean by that. I read the rules but it isn't clear if EU authorization is sufficient or if I need to jump through additional hoops. It would also be nice to know how the rules are different and in what way. For example the M3P is allowed to fly over people within reason and can...
