So when is the goggles' joystick typically used? Maybe when the drone is in the air and you need to navigate the menus in the goggles?

When using the simulator on an iPhone using the DJI FPV goggles and remote, I was noticing that the controls for navigating the app (selecting menus, etc.) from within the goggles did not work. I had to do this from the phone. Is that normal, or was I experiencing a problem? Thanks!
