As long as the OP has the full cooperation of and communication with the original owner, it is the unsuccessful unbinding by the original owner that is the problem, and DJI should certainly be able to help with that.

You can also try charging a battery in the drone with the charger, in case the charging hub is creating the problem.

No, And I just tried one of the batteries I flew with earlier today. That had no problems, or alternating lights prior. When I inserted that battery into the drone it also started having alternating lights. Wondering of something new in the...

The forces a UAV is subject to when being hand-held are of a rather different character to those it experiences whilst in flight. It's probably fine, and nothing you need to worry about, as long as that behaviour doesn't persist when flying...
