Ha - I didn't know about that setting. You have to set the shoot mode to VIdeo, then go into Camera Settings and it's right there. All my previous .mp4 files have the subtitles when I turn it on in VLC.

Mavic Pro. I am liking the weight of the Mini2 as I will be carrying it with me hiking.

I still use a Ipad Mini2 (A1489, ios 10.2.1) to fly my Mavic Pro, no problems. I don't expect it to fly my DJI mini2 though.

Awesome project! Did you consider not having a parachute and just gently landing the beer on the ground and releasing it? Seems a bit less complicated and you could put a 500ml beer on there maybe ;)

FWIW I just received this message for one of my FLY???.DAT files. I was using Datcon 4.0.4. Then I tried the same file with Datcon 3.6.0 and it worked fine.

This is interesting, I have a 64GB card formatted with EXFAT and I get the jittery gimbal once in a while, but I just accepted it. I'm formatting it with FAT32 now, we'll see how it goes.

Mini 2 wifi 32GB, iOS 10.2.1,DJI Go4 v4.2.6. It works great. I've had the DJI app on my ipad for a couple of years. I try not to update anything, probably explains why it still runs.

I use a block of packaging foam with a couple of holes cut in it, works great.

I use an Outdoor Research dry bag and put my black fly more combo drone bag into it. Haven't really tested it though because if the weather looks rainy I won't take the drone on the hike.
