If flying below 400 feet and in uncontrolled airspace the lights only might help the operator and nothing more. Blue lights would make the drone much easier to see against a background of red and white lights in many areas.

That begs the question as to why DJI has two firmware versions for the RC 2 controller. I assume that the version for the Mini 5 also works for the Mini 4.

Latest RC 2 Controller Firmware noted for Mini 4 Pro is different than that noted for Mini 5 Pro. I would expect that it would be the same RC 2 for both drone models.

The link on the DJI website for the Mini 5 manual is broken so not a priority for them to fix.
