If this is the MAVIC AIR, then perhaps that is an AIR induct vent to the prop (i.e., enclosed props with air being sucked in above the prop via grills and passed out the bottom). If this is a drone smaller than the existing Mavic, then it is possible for such a concept to work.

My guess is the FLY MORE COMBO initially came with 3 batteries, but do to the battery shortage issue at the launch of the Mavic, it appears they scaled it back to two batteries. The included charging hub is designed for 3 batteries.

It is a selfie drone so it's like buying a case in a particular color for your phone. DJI will no doubt sell the plastic top in many additional colors in the future (other than the existing launch colors).

I was asked on the Phantom 4 Pro forum to test out the video latency of the new DJI integrated display controller. In doing so I compared it to the Mavic Pro and Yuneec Typhoon H. Results below.

One thing seems sure and that is that the cycle for new DJI products in 2017 will be much later than expected. Don't expect the MAVIC PRO II or PHANTOM 5 to be released in the first 6 months of 2017. My prediction is a fall 2017 release for both.
