I use Litchi for almost everything. I am currently using Litchi on an 8" tablet on a primary controller and Epsom BT-300 fpv's and Go4 on a secondary controller at the same time.

You are correct. Your music hits do not come close the key video action points. Have a look at Sonic Fire Pro. It pretty much allows you to do exactly what you think you should be doing.
I thought any 45 second segment was good. Your cuts and dissolves worked with the snappy music. You might want to look into SpiceMaster by Pixelan for even more creative transitions and targeted dissolves.
I first tried Dronelink, (because it was free), and was never successful. I have been using Litchi ever since and use it not only for waypoints but everything else except for "follow" and a couple of aircraft settings.
