Mavic Pro-2 vs Zoom and P4P - Line Skipping + Sensor Heat?

    Sub’d. Interesting info and theories.

Am I the only who thinks the Mavic Air has the Camera the MPP should've had?

Sharpness of less than +1 causes terrible noise-reduction issues on the Mavic Pro and Pro Platinum. This can easily be seen in his videos and is a well-known issue. +1 turns NR off completely and thus retains fine details.

Am I the only who thinks the Mavic Air has the Camera the MPP should've had?

It appears he didn’t have his sharpness set to +1 in the Mavic Pro. Not a fair comparison at all, IMHO.

Gimble shades anyone use the Pgytech 2 piece

I use it and it’s awesome. No issues at all.

Lost my DJI Mavic pro on my first flight [ DRONE FOUND]

Wow. Unbelievable! Congrats to all involved. This community has some really bright and kind people in it! I’ve been following this thread from the beginning. Congrats again! Side note: I guess we now know for sure that if the Mavic goes into forced ATTI mode due to compass errors and/or IMU...

Are you thinking of buy a new drone?

You spelt Nikon wrong. ;) No but seriously to the OP; I own both the Mavic Pro Platinum and the Spark and I can say that I love both, for very different reasons. If I could only pick one, it would be the MPP though, hands-down. I’ve also owned a few Phantoms and a Mavic Pro. I would choose...

    Platinum worth the extra?

If money isn’t a factor, the MPP is awesome. I’ve had both and can say that I prefer the MPP hands-down over the MP.

    Ipad mount

Awesome. I’m going to get that sunshade. The sunshades I had in-mind are much larger (taller) than this one. I really like my Skytreat tablet holder with the iPad Pro 10.5. I need to get a anti-glare screen protector and this sunshade. Thanks!

    Ipad mount

I use mine with a large 2017 iPad Pro 10.5” and it’s perfectly balanced and doesn’t give way at all. I wouldn’t put a sunshade on it, as this would certainly cause an imbalance and I doubt the plastic ball-mount wouldn’t be able to hold the weight offset. But without a sunshade, the Skytreat...

    Ipad mount

The MavMount is easily the nicest on the market, but the Skytreat Tablet holder is easily the best value. I use it daily and have zero issues and it takes up very little room in my case.

    Mavic went haywire

Not sure if you meant to quote my post, but I’m in agreement with you. I specifically said it’s NOT illegal to fly at night in the US as a hobbiest.

    Mavic went haywire

Not sure where the OP is located, but In the US, it’s not “illegal” to fly at night as a hobbiest. That said, flying at night is actually easier to determine orientation as it’s easier to see the LED markings on the drone, especially if you add aftermarket strobes. This makes VLOS flying even...

How often do you fly Mavic?

I pretty much fly both my Mavic Pro Platinum and Spark daily. If it’s too windy or raining, I fly the Spark indoors and the MPP gets to relax for a day.

    lens hood review

The PGYTech lens hood and shade is pretty decent and only reveals itself in shots when flying in Sport mode, which to be honest, is fine with me. I don’t film flying that fast unless the camera is tilted down and the hood doesn’t show up at all in this case.

What device (iPad/Samsung/Crystalsky?) Would you recommend?

I use a iPad Pro 10.5” with both the Mavic Pro Platinum and Spark and it’s awesome and flawless. It’s also very bright and can easily be seen in the sunlight without a sunshade (although a sunshade would be even better). The mount I use is a Skytreat tablet mount and it works perfect for both...
