Good on the battery, about 20 minutes. 4K is party of the issue, but even at 1080p I have to edit the video before applying any color correction or the playback gets all choppy

Sorry, I only just now saw your quote of my post. Yes it is very close to the airport and I love very near Oakland County Airport. Far enough to fly as long as I don't venture North too far. Then there are the 400 heliports in our area.

My experience with a very cheap Hubsan taught me nothing about what a Mavic could do other than I knew it had to be better than the Hubsan. It was and wish I would have did this first.

Welcome, another SE Michigander here. Walled Lake / Commerce. A good friend also has an MP and splits time between Adrian and Ypsilanti Belleville area. I have found this form very informative so far and think you will as well.

A short video I put together just to practice editing. No that I know I can use Premiere Pro on my computer I may need to start shooting in D-Log so all the clips are flat and can be color graded the same.. if I understand how the process works... learning curve applied.

You might look into building a transmitter/receiver with Arduino. After reading this thread I looked into it. There is a set that I think could easily be set up. Be more than your $5 Lego designed (which is awesome by the way) but would be a better long term solution.
